Pablo Solana

PhD Student

Pablo obtained his BSc in Psychology at the University of Granada (UGR). Then, he completed a MSc in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience at the UGR. He is currently a PhD student in the Psychology Program of the UGR under the supervision of Dr. Julio Santiago.

In 2019, he was awarded an Initiation to Research Grant, funded by the UGR and the Santander Bank. In 2020, he obtained a Collaboration Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education. Now, he is enjoying a FPU Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education.

His research focuses on the role of bodily experience in shaping meaning representation. More specifically, he is currently using behavioral, brain stimulation (TMS), and meta-analytic methods to assess the causal contribution of the motor brain areas in comprehending action-related language. He also makes research in the other topics such as conceptual metaphors or meaning representation in deaf and blind people.
